A prominent insurance company is seeking an Appointed Actuary to join their team as they aggressively expand their Life insurance business in Hong Kong. The company is undergoing a period of significant growth and is looking to add this key actuarial role to support their expansion efforts in the Hong Kong market.

• Oversee policy liability and reserve valuations to ensure regulatory compliance and adequacy
• Provide annual actuarial opinion on financial standing, including assumptions and methods
• Review and approve all actuarial work on pricing, risk analysis, and financial projections
• Advise leadership on emerging risks, solvency issues, and strategic impacts
• Serve as primary liaison with regulators, providing documentation and responses
• Lead actuarial team in developing robust risk management practices
• Stay current on evolving actuarial standards, regulations, and industry best practices

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Professional actuarial qualifications are required
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years of actuarial experience and advance proficiency of insurance regulations, reserving methodologies, and financial reporting requirements
• Exposure to project management
• First-rate analytical skills and a sharp edge for interpreting intricate data
• Excellent verbal and written communication talents to interface persuasively with company leadership and regulatory bodies
